Lesson Collection #2 - Lesson 1i
Past and Present Tense Verbs with Regular and Tag Questions
Students must provide the missing verb of each question (they are not printed) by choosing from the following: Is… / Isn’t… Are… / Aren’t… Was… / Wasn’t… Were… / Weren’t… Do… / Don’t… Does… / Doesn’t…and Did… / Didn’t… .
The following are some of the questions found on these worksheets:
What color _____ your best friend’s eyes?
Your English teacher _____ wear a wig, _____ ___?
_____ you busy or not so busy yesterday ?
What Makes Our Lessons Different?
Teachers Save Time
Reduce lesson planning and gain freedom in the classroom. With all students busy, the teacher can casually roam around the classroom and offer assistance wherever needed.
Students Learn by Doing
Minutes after beginning each lesson, classes often become noisy. At times, very noisy. Why? Students, in pairs or small groups, actively engage in completing the lesson task. They use English to learn English.
Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing
Oral communication is important. Listening and speaking have priority in our lessons; students need to carefully listen to each other. Reading is also important for the success of the lessons. The amount of writing required varies.
Fun for Teachers & Students
We believe students learn better when having fun. Our lessons range from silly to serious but each has a solid task-specific educational goal including grammar usage, vocabulary building and fluency improvement to name a few.

Hey Kurt,
Your lesson worksheets are the best EFL resource I’ve ever used!

Hi Kurt,
Your collection of lesson worksheets is really great. It makes my teaching much easier and funnier. I work in an International House School in Ukraine. We all enjoy your lessons, especially our students. Your illustrations are just great.
Helen Svetlichnaya - EFL Teacher
Dear Kurt,
A HUGE THANKS !!
Because of what you do at EFL4U, my school is one of the best in the city. I think it’s really important for students to have fun, to act, to react and learn English by using it! With your active lessons, my students do all of that, and more….
Grammar is taught after or before the lessons… and all of my students learn while having lots of fun.
Kurt, EFL4U IS THE BEST THING THAT I HAVE RECEIVED. EVERY YEAR, YOU ARE MY SANTA CLAUS.
Betty Tokeshi - EFL Teacher
Dear Kurt,
Feel free to quote me on this! I have found your lessons to be the most useful of all that I have found on the Net! The teacher’s guidance makes presenting the lessons a doddle and the students’ pages are fun, varied, stimulating, exciting and always of interest to my students.
I am a freelance EFL teacher and the students vary from Austrian teenagers, on school trips to London, to adults at a language centre. Your lessons are especially useful for the latter group as I often get called upon to cover a class at the last minute!
Keep the lessons coming please, Kurt - and many, many thanks!
