What Makes Our Lessons Different?
Teachers Save Time
Reduce lesson planning and gain freedom in the classroom. With all students busy, the teacher can casually roam around the classroom and offer assistance wherever needed.
Students Learn by Doing
Minutes after beginning each lesson, classes often become noisy. At times, very noisy. Why? Students, in pairs or small groups, actively engage in completing the lesson task. They use English to learn English.
Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing
Oral communication is important. Listening and speaking have priority in our lessons; students need to carefully listen to each other. Reading is also important for the success of the lessons. The amount of writing required varies.
Fun for Teachers & Students
We believe students learn better when having fun. Our lessons range from silly to serious but each has a solid task-specific educational goal including grammar usage, vocabulary building and fluency improvement to name a few.
Personal Profile 4 - April 17, 2017Lesson Collection #2 - Lesson 9d
Personal Profile 4 is a great discussion starter. Students talk about their travel experiences, both domestic and foreign. They ask each other when they took the trip, how long they stayed and the purpose for going. Students often get so involved that they start asking all kinds of questions not even written on the worksheet. That's great!
Also, students talk about one memory from each travel experience. These memories are often hilarious.
In the second part, students talk about their best and worst travel experiences. Sometimes, this will open up all kinds of memories. Students often get so involved that they forget they're discussing in English!
Perhaps the greatest element of this lesson is the natural conversation and discussion that ensues when students start talking about themselves and asking their partner questions.
There are seven additional worksheets in this series. They are:

Feel free to quote me on this! I have found your lessons to be the most useful of all that I have found on the Net! The teacher’s guidance makes presenting the lessons a doddle and the students’ pages are fun, varied, stimulating, exciting and always of interest to my students.
I am a freelance EFL teacher and the students vary from Austrian teenagers, on school trips to London, to adults at a language centre. Your lessons are especially useful for the latter group as I often get called upon to cover a class at the last minute!
Keep the lessons coming please, Kurt - and many, many thanks!
Other language-teaching resource books promise exciting, ready-to-copy activities, but these worksheets really deliver the goods.
Congratulations! Your lesson worksheets are SUPERB!!! My students really enjoy them and are thrilled with the fun activities. I really can’t say enough. Your worksheets are some of the best bargains on the Net. Thanks again for offering these fun and refreshing lessons to ESL EFL teachers on a weekly basis. Best wishes; keep up the great work!
